Increased sales during July thanks to an online marketing campaign.

July and August can be very quiet months in the pet industry. this is mainly because people are away on holiday or spending more time outdoors because the weather is so nice, but sales were up in July this year for the first time since the company was established.

Why is this the case? we can only put it down to the online marketing campaign. For the first time in our history we decided to get a 3rd party involved with promoting the business and so far it is paying dividends. We employed an SEO Consultant London to promote our website online and in under 3 weeks, they managed to get our website onto page 1 of Google for 3 major keywords in our industry.

I haven’t done the math properly yet but I believe that sales have increased by at least 40% since the optimisation work was completed, and the best thing is we have kept our age 1 positions for over 6 weeks now which is very promising indeed.

I have always been a bit of a sceptic when it comes to using SEO companies as we get phone calls every day from them promising “page 1 domination that will change your business overnight”. Because of this I decided to use a private consultant and so far this has definitely paid off by increasing the amount of new customers that use our website.

Let’s hope that August is just as good!!
